Congress Members Report Threats Following Trump's Accusations of Sedition

Some congressional Democrats say they're facing a real

danger after President Trump accused them of sedation.

Yeah,

this is a weird one.

So this comes after 6 lawmakers posted a video

encouraging military members not to follow illegal orders.

So the lawmakers,

all veterans of the military themselves.

And they're accusing the Trump administration of

pitting those communities against American citizens.

-- Senator -- Alyssa Slotkin from Michigan says by last

night she had received nearly 1000 new threats.

The White House says the president has not given any

illegal orders and that the Democrats' message is dangerous.

I'm worried about the safety of my staff,

uh,

of my family.

And obviously for myself,

-- the sanctity -- of our military rests

on the chain of command,

and if that chain of command is broken,

it can lead to people getting killed.

It can lead to chaos.

The White House is brushing off the president's escalating

post and his insult towards a female reporter,

-- and -- we also could hear from the president today

as he meets with New York's Democratic socialist mayor-elect,

someone he has repeatedly slammed as a communist.
